Andrew LechlakComputer Science EngineeringUniversity of Toledo AboutHello! My name is Andrew Lechlak, but please call me Andy. I am currently in transition to my computer science major. This is my second semester at UT and in college. This makes me a lowly freshman. I have lived in Toledo, Ohio my entire long nineteen year old life. My ideal career is to be paid to play videogames. I know this does not seem like much of a goal, but it takes a lot to get to that point. I have always loved video games, but I never have enough time. I go to school full time, as well as work 30-50 hours a week. I coach fifth grade basketball and soccer, and I have assisted for years. After coaching, I tutor grade school kids in mainly math. It would not seem with such a busy schedule that I would have time for computers, but that is one of my loves. I have taken several courses in high school relating to movies, graphic design, flash animation. The first semester I took one online course and it went very well. One of my favorite courses so far at UT has been Honors Reading Conference. We read ancient through modern texts and then discuss or write about them. Usually it is a combination, but this was the first time my writing skills have been challenged. I really look forward to being challenged by all of you! I will take all the comments as constructive because through this screen is another person. I am sure no one will write maliciously and it is easy to miss read what has been typed. At work, I actually made a technical instruction booklet for new orthodontic assistants. This helps them learn the procedures more accurately and at a much faster rate. I am looking forward to better myself as a writer, but more importantly I desire to accurately communicate with you all clearly and professionally.Career InterestsMicrosoft, Intel, Nvidia, Bioware, Disney, Relic, ActivisionInternship Interestsvideo game maker, video game tester, animated movie, web designer, computer science engineer, computer science, Research InterestsMore efficient computer cooling system
